BEMA - Small Groups

BEMA - Small Groups

Every Wednesday we will meet at the church (4651 Centennial Blvd, 80919) from 6:30-8:30pm to listen to a podcast, break into small groups, discuss, and pray for each other as needed. We will stay in the same small groups each week to get to know people better. This group is open to the community!

About BEMA:

  • The BEMA Podcast uses the context of Jewish experience and history to deepen and enrich our understanding of scripture. Through each podcast, mainstream Christian understanding is deconstructed and then reconstructed using this context to give further insight into the intent of scripture from the original source.
  • We believe that going through this resource as church will strengthen our spiritual foundation and understanding of the word and bring us all into a new appreciation and awe of God’s goodness and love.
  • Some textual translations BEMA offers may feel controversial to some and not to others, and we will use the small group setting to discuss questions and not necessarily agree on answers when the text is less clear. We will always focus on God is good and He loves us, and the rest is a great place for being unsure and questioning.
  • We are so excited to explore the scripture in a new depth and from a perspective held by the Jews Jesus walked and talked with. We hope this will be a unifying experience that will move us deeper in the word together; hand-in-hand.
